I would like to suggest that it would be possible to select which of the emails generated by the system are sent out.
The email system is too inflexible. As a fixture secretary I would not want to send out 75% of those that are generated whilst I work on scheduling fixtures. I think too many and teams will ignore them particularly if they are not relating to fixtures in the upcoming few weeks so I tend not to send them out. There can also be a problem if 2 users are generating emails at the same time where one might want the emails to be sent eg referee apointments whilst the other may not - unhidden fixtures up to a month ahead.
