Error: Player's connected parent/carers do not have an email address

I am seeing this error, despite the underlying parent having a valid email address. Any suggestions?

I had similar in that despite their being an associated /attached parent it kept telling me there wasn’t. The advise was to add them again and that seemed to work - same method might be worth a try.
