This guide will show you how to sanction seasonal leagues within the competition portal.

Sanctioning Seasonal Leagues
To sanction a seasonal league, sign in to competitions.thefa.com with your usual email address and FA password and select the competitions tab on the left and then add division.
To begin the process of sanctioning your tournaments you will need to go the Competition tab on the left then select Sanctioning, you will then need to select the tcompetition you want to be sanctioned, then finish off with selecting Sanction Competition on the right hand side.
This will then bring up the page where you will need to fill out the relevant details ( Key Officials, FA Policies & Documentation, Review Rules, Insurance)
Key officials
Firstly, you will need to make sure you have the right key officials in place. You will be able to change their roles in the officials tab on the left hand side if needed. If you would like to view the Key Officials, you can do this by selecting view. More information on league officials can be found here.
Divisions & Cups
You will then need to organise your teams into divisions and cups. It will then show you the total number or teams and how many are yet to complete affiliation. You can organise the league structure by going to the competition tab on the left hand side. More information can be found here.
FA Policies, Documentation & Competition Rules
Scrolling down you will then find the FA Policies & Documentation. where you have to upload the Safeguarding Declarations and the first fixture date however, the accounts and AGM minutes are optional.
The boxes will then turn from red ' You are required to upload a copy' to green and it saying complete.
Safeguarding Declarations
The Safeguarding Declarations you must review them by selecting Review.
It will then take you to the My Org tab on the left hand side, under Documentations and Safeguarding Declarations. You will then need to press the Adopt button on the right hand side.
Please view the document and then Accept that you have read it.
You will then be able to download the document ( downwards arrow ) and and readopt ( clockward arrow ) but using the buttons on the right hand side.
Competition Rules & Insurance
You will then be required to upload the competition rules which you can do via the upload button, whilst uploading the insurance document or purchasing insurance is optional.
Finally at the bottom you need to make sure you have checked the box before you select Proceed to Summary.
You will then be taken to this page, where you will be able to submit your application to the County FA for review.
You will then be asked if you would like to confirm or cancel the application.
